As many of you NOW know, we are excited to be expecting another addition to our family! So, we have changed the sub-title of the blog accordingly and have added a baby calendar to the sidebar so we can all keep track together. We'll keep you posted as things "develop". :O) In RELATED news, Tony and Lisa (Kelly's brother and sister-in-law) are also expecting!! So Paul and Sally (Kelly's parents) had quite the announcement given to them by Maddie and Alexandra this weekend! God is so good and we thank Him for showering our families with blessings. Here's to growing fat together Lisa!

May and June - Getting Caught Up
May and June were such busy months for the Splitty Family! Lots of fun was had and fellowship with friends and family shared. Here are a few snapshots of what made these last two months fly by!

I think she wants me to move...
Alexandra likes to catch the bubbles with her tongue! Check out Kavan's face in this one, lol! What is that?

Look! She does smile!! Yay!

And they brought with them the Christmas presents that had been waiting patiently in their garage in Missouri.
A red Jeep for Kavan and a yellow Corvette for Maddie.
We were all a little jealous of the Corvette...seriously, the thing even has a working radio and headlights! What's the weight limit on that again?

Maddie went roller skating for the first time! This was her school's annual end of the year skate party. She had LOTS of fun! (Yes, yes, I had to roller skate too...I couldn't let her hang on to everyone else all night...No no, it was much more fun to let her hang off of me and pull ME down whenever she took a dive.)
Memorial Day Weekend spent with Kelly's parents and his Brother's family. Grandma provided the entertainment!
Grandpa Dave and Grandma Mona came to visit....

We just spent a wonderful Fourth of July with family and friends, and I will be posting those pictures this week. Thanks for all of you who helped kick our summer off to a great start!

We have had lots of grand developments between family and friends and we just wanted to share the news with everyone here on the blog! Kelly's best friend Eric and his wife Melissa are expecting a baby boy in November!! Yahoo!! Welcome to parenthood you two! And on the academic front, Ryan will be graduating with a doctorate this summer and has landed an AWESOME position at Vanderbilt University in Nashville! We are SO happy for him and his family, and now they will at least be 3 hours closer....thanks guys. :O) We just wanted to congratulate both families on their exciting news and we pray God blesses you all bountifully!

Catch of the day!
I think the hand on the hip implies the impatience of the 5-year old when fishing...
Maddie gets a whopper! Kavan is so proud. Oh, and by the way, this is Maddie's official "fishing dress." It has dragonflies and flowers on it, which is obviously what fishing is all about. ;O)
Here's to the catch of the day...it's a good thing we don't have to rely on them to provide our meals!

Cheesy Splittys
So we have a major HAM on our hands. MAJOR. Every time we get the camera out, he matriculates from wherever in the house he is and drops whatever he's doing and comes RUNNING to the lens! Then he makes the silliest face I've ever seen on a 16-month old and says, "sheeeeeeze". I can't resist. He crinkles his nose up and shows all six of his teeth, it's enough to make me want more kids. Maybe. Anywho, we had to take a picture of Maddingly and her daddy for a school project and, of course, here comes Brody with the smile painted on as he rounded the kitchen corner. Gotta love those cheesy Splittys. I know I sure do.

This is his sun-kissed look. I think it's working for him, don't you? We all got quite a bit of sun this week, as mommy was intent on getting the transplants into the garden! Pictures of that victory to come soon.
Daddy kisses. :O)

Now we're all set to travel to the pool and back all summer long! Except now mommy needs a bike.....we'll keep you updated on that front, as it should be pretty interesting, lol!
